Wedding FAQ

What is the booking process?

To reserve your wedding date a signed contract and £150 non refundable booking fee is required. The booking fee will be deducted from your total package price and ensures I will not take any further bookings for your day. Installments can be paid as suits you but the outstanding balance must be paid 28 days prior to your wedding day.

About 3 months prior to your wedding I will send an email containing further questions about your big day.

This is followed by a pre-wedding consultation which can be done in person or via the telephone, to discuss the finer details of your day and confirm all of your plans.

Do you carry back-up equipment?

I always carry backup equipment with me - just in case. Your photos are backed up across multiple devices immediately after the wedding, too.

What if I hate having my photograph taken?

Firstly, don’t worry lots of people feel uncomfortable having their photographs taken. My aim is to capture the natural emotions of the day and the events of the day as they unfold. For any posed photographs I’ll give some gentle direction and guidance as required.

How many group photographs should we have?

The real answer is as many as you want.

It  really depends on the number of guests you have and the size of your wedding party. Generally a whole group one, family members as appropriate to your needs and then friendship groups. I try to get these done as quickly as possible otherwise it starts eating into your day! The groups shots you require will be discussed as part of the pre-wedding consultation.

How long after the wedding do we get our photographs?

No later than 8 weeks from the date of the wedding - although it's often much sooner.

How many photographs will we receive?

This depends on the size of the wedding and amount of coverage you choose.

What about engagement shoots?

An engagement shoot is a great way for us to get to know one another and can be booked as an addition to or separately from our wedding packages.

Engagement shoots take around 30 minutes to an hour and are mostly done Sunday to Friday.

Can we buy albums?

All of my packages come with full print rights so you are free to create your own wedding albums using your own supplier. However, the print quality and colour matching is not guaranteed.

For archival quality, luxury albums that are built to last I offer a design and order service. A price list can be sent upon request.

Should we have a second photographer?

A second photographer is a great option and allows for both the Bride and Groom’s preparations to be captured simultaneously. It also allows for an extra set of eyes to capture those magical moments.

A second photographer can be added to any package for an additional£200.

Are you insured?

Yes, I am fully insured with both public liability and indemnity insurance.

What happens if you are ill?

Unless I am contagious or hospitalised I will still be there to photograph your special day. Should the worse happen, I will work with other local photographers to get your day covered.
